Individual & Group Counseling for adolescents and adults - Company Message
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Louisiana licensure #3350. I graduated with my Masters in Counseling from Loyola University in New Orleans where I also earned my Bachelor of Arts.

The emphasis in my training has been on treatment of depression and anxiety related emotional and behavioral responses often triggered by trauma related issues. I have worked with a diverse population in the New Orleans community with families, young adults and adults. In my practice I look to balance gaining an understanding how your past experiences have affected you while also utilizing your existing strengths to explore how you can gain skills and find solutions to what is currently causing you difficulties.

I have experience in using creative techniques such as guided journaling, meditation, and mindfulness among others to help explore and address the issues at hand. I believe counseling is a collaborative process and that it is important for you to feel like you can speak openly and in a non-judgmental, confidential space to reach your goals.

I have advanced training in Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) & I am a Certified Daring Way Facilitator.

The Daring WayTM is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was designed for work with individuals, couples, families,
work teams, and organizational leaders. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings. During the process facilitators explore topicssuch as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. Participants are invited to examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding them back and identify the new choices and practices that will move them toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead.

DBT focuses on using skills to address emotional and behavioral issues. DBT is a evidence based practice that is based in cognitive behavior therapy which research shows effectiveness with treatment of borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, bi-polar, and addictions.
